Foundation of Covenant Love by Pastor Brent Lokker

Long before God laid down earth’s foundations, he had us in mind, had settled on us as the focus of his love, to be made whole and holy by his love."

Long before this world was created, there was Papa...and Jesus...and Holy Spirit who loved each other deeply and honored each other sincerely and wildly celebrated one another. The richness of their affection for each other and the depth of their commitment to one another led them to desire to share this extravagant love with a multitude of others because fiery and genuine love must always find an outlet, an expression. It must find another one to pour its love out upon. YOU are that one!  This is what Yahweh's (Papa's) eternal covenant of love is all about.  A covenant is an ironclad promise that the Lord actually makes with Himself to be sure it will be fulfilled. Just as He did with Abraham, He says to you, "I've chosen you in order to bless you. I am blessing you because you are mine and for no other reason. I love you because I love you because I love you because it's My choice to do so.  Your purpose in this world, above all other purposes, is to be loved.  This is why I created you.  And not just to be loved in this life, but to be loved eternally.  That means forever times forever, with no end in sight!"

Throughout history we've had horrendous misconceptions about the heart of the Father that have attempted to steal away our intimacy with Him. Jesus came to show us the true heart of our Father who approves of us and accepts us as His own. Here is that Covenant of Love in its purest form described in Romans 8:31-39 (TMB)
"So, what do you think? With God on our side like this, how can we lose? If God didn’t hesitate to put everything on the line for us, embracing our condition and exposing himself to the worst by sending his own Son, is there anything else he wouldn’t gladly and freely do for us? And who would dare tangle with God by messing with one of God’s chosen? Who would dare even to point a finger? The One who died for us—who was raised to life for us!—is in the presence of God at this very moment sticking up for us.

Do you think anyone is going to be able to drive a wedge between us and Christ’s love for us? There is no way! Not trouble, not hard times, not hatred, not hunger, not homelessness, not bullying threats, not backstabbing, not even the worst sins listed in Scripture...
None of this fazes us because Jesus loves us. I’m absolutely convinced that nothing—nothing living or dead, angelic or demonic, today or tomorrow, high or low, thinkable or unthinkable—absolutely nothing can get between us and God’s love because of the way that Jesus our Master has embraced us."


It's time for you to agree with the true heart of the Father for you:
"I'm loved. I'm wanted. I'm accepted. I'm favored. I'm blessed beyond measure.  This is just the way it is and I agree!"
